Yay on embedding! :) Once you know/remember how, it really isn't too bad, right? I'm surprised you hadn't encountered clickers before - they have been around in Collier schools for about 10 years. In fact, I consider them out-of-date (and expensive!) technology with the newer and more affordable web-based tools that are similar (i.e., Kahoot, Socrative, Plickers, etc). Technology changes quickly!! :)
